Katie grew up in Franklin, graduated from Cedar Mountain High School in 2002, and then attended Minnesota State University-Mankato. She returned to Franklin and eventually started working at the Franklin State Bank in 2011 and has remained a dependable fixture through the merger with the Wanda State Bank. In 2017, Katie bought a house in Franklin and has been enjoying remodeling it with her dad. Katie likes to golf and helps organize the Franklin Classic in June. She also helps with “Kiss the Catfish”. This contest has three selected individuals in the community campaign to raise money. The individual that raises the most, must “Kiss the Catfish” during the Catfish Derby Days Saturday night event, and gets to choose whether the funds go to improve or develop Franklin. Katie enjoys helping people and love working in such a great community.
