Tim Vanderwal

President

Tim graduated from South Dakota State University with a degree in Animal Science and Ag
business. He has worked as a loan officer with The Wanda State Bank since 2002 and became
the Wanda State Bank President in 2015. Although Tim can meet all of your financing needs, he
specializes in agricultural and commercial loans. His personal involvement in the agricultural
field includes raising livestock and farming, which makes him an outstanding choice for your
agricultural needs.

Derek Berg

Loan Officer

Derek graduated from Wabasso High School in 2010 and attended South Dakota State University graduating in 2015 with a degree in agronomy. He previously worked as an agronomist in Hastings, MN and joined the lending staff at the Wanda State Bank in 2017. Derek has been around and involved in agriculture his entire life and wants to help you make your operation as successful and profitable as possible. Jacob was born and raised in Wanda and graduated from Augustana College in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. His career in the banking industry started in Sioux Falls before joining our staff in 2015 as a loan officer. Jacob’s knowledge goes beyond the financial part of farming as he regularly helps in the field during the spring and fall. He is ready to assist you with any of your Agricultural, Commercial or Residential Real Estate needs.

Ben Johnson

Loan Officer

Ben was raised on a hog and row crop farm near Walnut Grove giving him personal knowledge in the agricultural industry. Ben graduated from Tracy High School in 2015 and then attended Iowa State University majoring in Ag Business. After graduation, Ben started his career in the seed industry before finding himself in the Ag lending world and eventually the Wanda State Bank as an Ag Loan Officer in 2022. Ben’s knowledge and experience in livestock and grain production gives him an upper hand when it comes to servicing your financial needs. Ted graduated from Ridgewater College and the University of Minnesota with a degree in Ag Industry and Marketing. Ted has been in crop and livestock production since 1998 in the Wabasso-Lamberton area. He has been in lending since 2006, with experience in Agriculture, Commercial, Consumer, and Real Estate Loans. Lori Eis

Chief Investment Officer

Lori graduated with an accounting degree and has worked for the Wanda State Bank for over 40
years in numerous departments. She is enjoying her current position managing the Securities
Portfolio and as an Ag Loan Officer. Being raised on a farm and surrounded by agriculture her
whole life, Lori is ready to assist you with any agricultural financing needs you may have.
